1. What is Barkside Brews?

Barkside Brews is Arizona’s first indoor/outdoor dog park with beverage bar, designed to give dogs the structured play, enrichment, and socialization they need — and give pet parents a place to unwind, connect, and belong. It’s a climate-controlled space where dogs enjoy safe, off-leash play while pet parents relax with craft coffee, tea, beer, wine, seltzers, mocktails, and a welcoming community environment.

2. Do I need a dog to visit?

Nope! Dog lovers without dogs are always welcome. For the safety of all our guests, access to the off-leash play areas is limited to guests who have completed the required waiver. Guests without dogs are welcome to enjoy all common areas of Barkside Brews.

3. How do I get started?

1. Create your account and dog profile in our system.

2. Upload required vaccination records.

3. Sign the digital waiver.

4. Choose a Day Pass or Membership.

5. Once your requirements are complete, you’re all set to visit.

 

4. What vaccinations are required?

All dogs must have current Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof must be uploaded before your dog can enter the park. We’ll notify you when records need updating.

 

5. Do dogs need to be spayed or neutered?

Dogs 6 months and older must be spayed or neutered to access the off-leash park areas unless an exception is approved for a documented medical reason.

 

6. Can I bring multiple dogs?

Yes. Each membership includes access for 1 dog, and you can add additional dogs for $22/month each. Day Pass visitors may also add additional dogs at the same $16 day-pass rate. Each dog must have its own profile and up-to-date vaccinations.

7. Are puppies allowed?

We love puppies! For everyone’s safety, puppies must have completed their required vaccinations before visiting Barkside. Until they’re fully vaccinated, we ask that you hold off on bringing them — but we can’t wait to meet them once they’re ready!

 

8. Can children come with me?

Absolutely. Children are welcome with active adult supervision. For safety reasons, children should not run, climb on equipment, or approach unfamiliar dogs without permission.

 

9. What are my membership options?

We offer four membership options designed to fit different visit frequencies and levels of Barkside access:

 

The Casual Pup: 6 visits per month for $49/month.

The Social Pup: 10 visits per month for $75/month.

The Unlimited Pup: Unlimited visits for $95/month.

The Very Important Pup: Unlimited visits plus a $5 monthly drink credit, 1 complimentary self-wash per month, and 2 guest passes per month for $125/month.

 

The Unlimited Pup and Very Important Pup are also available with 6-month and 12-month commitments, which include additional perks. Members can add an additional dog to any membership for $22/month.

 

All memberships provide access to Barkside’s indoor and outdoor off-leash play areas.

All memberships require a one-time $49 registration fee.

 

10. Do you offer Day Passes?

Yes. Day Passes are perfect for first-timers or occasional visits. Vaccination records and a signed waiver are still required before entry.

11. What is Private Play?

Private Play is a designated play area for dogs who may prefer their own space rather than participating in group play. It's a great option for dogs who aren't quite ready for the main play areas, need a break from the action, or simply enjoy having a space of their own.

 

Private Play is available to both members and non-members on a first-come, first-served basis in 30-minute increments. Additional time may be purchased when available.

 

Members: $8 for 30 minutes or $14 for 60 minutes
Non-members: $12 for 30 minutes or $20 for 60 minutes

 

12. What is the Beverage Bundle Add-On?

The Beverage Bundle is a monthly add-on that includes 4 beverage credits redeemable for any beverage we serve. Credits can be used anytime during the month and shared with friends or family during your visit.

13. What is the Mutt Club?

The Mutt Club is our special annual loyalty program, available on its own or as an add-on to any membership. Members receive a personalized Mutt Club mug, plus exclusive discounts on drinks and merchandise, along with occasional fun perks throughout the year.

14. Can I work from Barkside?

Yes! We offer free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating so remote workers can enjoy the environment while supervising their dogs.

 

15. Are outside food and drinks allowed?

Yes — outside food is allowed and we encourage guests to bring dinner or snacks (think pizza nights, family takeout, etc.). Please be mindful of other guests and do not bring food that encourages resource guarding or unsafe sharing. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased on site.

 

16. Can I leave my dog unattended?

No. Owners must remain on-site and actively supervise their dogs. Our Bark Rangers help monitor safety, but owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior.

 

17. When are dogs required to be on leash?

Dogs must be on leash at all times when they are not inside the designated off-leash play areas. This includes all common areas of the facility and ensures the safety and comfort of all visitors.

 

18. What happens if my dog misbehaves?

If a dog displays unsafe or aggressive behavior, staff may intervene and ask the owner to remove the dog for the day. Repeated issues can result in suspension or termination of membership to protect the community.

 

19. Can I bring toys or treats?

Personal toys, chews, bones, and treats are not allowed in the off-leash play areas due to resource guarding risks. You may bring food for yourself in the common areas; for dogs, ask staff about approved toys or treats.

 

20. How do your events work?

We host a variety of events — breed meetups, social nights, themed parties, workshops, and more. Some events require registration; others are open to walk-ins. Details and sign-ups are available on our Events page.

 

21. Do I need to register for events?

Some events require advance registration. Member-only events may have discounted or reserved spots. Check the event listing for details.

 

22. Can humans drink alcohol anywhere in the facility?​

Guests aged 21+ may enjoy alcoholic beverages purchased at Barkside throughout designated areas. Valid ID may be required. Please supervise your dog at all times.

 

23. What if my dog is shy, anxious, or not very social?

Every dog is different. If your dog is unsure or needs a slower introduction, talk with our staff before entering. We’ll help guide you through a comfortable arrival and integration experience.

 

24. Can I host a private event or birthday party?

Yes! Barkside Brews is available for private rentals, including birthday parties, community group meetups, fundraisers, and corporate gatherings, subject to availability. Dogs attending private events must meet Barkside’s health and behavior requirements. Non-member guests are not required to purchase a Day Pass or Membership to attend the event. All guests entering the off-leash play areas must complete the required waiver.

 

25. What is the cancellation policy for memberships?

We know plans change, so we’ve designed our cancellation policy to be simple and transparent.

 

Monthly Memberships: Cancel anytime with 7-day notice before your next billing cycle.

6-Month Commitment: $75 early cancellation fee or cancel at renewal with 14-day notice.

12-Month Commitment: $75 early cancellation fee or cancel at renewal with 30-day notice.

 

Any unused promotional perks associated with a 6-month or 12-month commitment are forfeited upon early cancellation.

26. What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring your dog, their leash, confirmation of approved vaccinations, and a completed waiver. Feel free to bring outside food in all common areas. Personal dog toys or treats should remain at home.

 

27. Are there age requirements to visit or become a member?

Anyone is welcome at Barkside Brews — there is no minimum age to visit the facility. However, guests must be 18+ to register a dog or purchase a membership and 21+ to purchase or consume alcohol (valid ID required). We ask that children remain under active adult supervision at all times.

 

28. Do you have any breed restrictions?

No. Barkside Brews welcomes all breeds. We focus on behavior, not breed labels. For everyone’s safety, new members will receive an initial behavioral evaluation and any dogs who display aggressive or unsafe behavior may be asked to take a break or leave for the day, regardless of breed.

 

29. Is Barkside Brews accessible?

Yes. Our facility features accessible entrances, seating, pathways, and restrooms. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks are welcome throughout all public areas. If you have specific accessibility needs, feel free to contact us — we’re here to help.
